The communities surrounding Lake Travis including Hudson Bend, Jonestown, Lago Vista, Volente, Lago Vista, Lakeway, Spicewood, and Marble Falls – all have one thing in common, lake living. From luxury townhomes with sweeping lake & hill country views to palatial lakefront estates, there is something for everyone in these surrounding communities. Lake Travis Independent School District is top-rated and serves most of the surrounding communities. Commute times vary dramatically in these communities, but most offer a wide range of nearby amenities and services.


The surrounding communities to the north of Austin include Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Pflugerville, and Liberty Hill. Mostly affordable housing with convenient amenities, many of these suburbs also have easy access to area employers like Dell and National Instruments. Local amenities and services include area hospitals, private universities, outlet shopping, and fine dining.


Located just south of Austin, Buda & Kyle are two of the fastest growing suburbs in the Austin metro. Boasting plenty of shopping, dining, and recreational activities, this area also offers affordable home prices and relatively easy drives to both Austin, and the Texas Hill Country.


A distinctly Texas Hill Country area, Bee Cave and Dripping Springs are located just west of Austin. Close proximity to dining & shopping at the Hill Country Galleria, this area offers an ever-changing variety of home sizes and architectural styles at every price point.


Highlighted by its tranquility and opportunity for adventure, the Hill Country offers outdoor recreation, eclectic shopping, fine dining, sweeping views, and friendly faces. Some of the area’s favorite pastimes including floating the river and Schlitterbahn Water Park. Located in between Austin and San Antonio, the Hill Country area includes New Braunfels, Gruene, Canyon Lake, and Seguin.
